The Football Federation of Armenia is actively looking for a new head coach of the national team after the resignation of Oleksandr Petrakov. One of the main candidates for this position is the legendary Spanish football player Raul, who currently leads the youth team of Real Madrid.
As the vice-president of the federation, Armen Nikhosyan, said, negotiations on the appointment of a new coach are not easy due to a limited budget. Previously, the candidacy of Michel Ter-Zakarian was considered, but his financial requests turned out to be too high.
“We are considering two options: the start of the coach’s work in the next two matches or from next year. There are many candidates, including Raul. The information about negotiations with Rui Mota from Noa is not true,” Nikhosyan stressed.
Thus, Raul Gonzalez, known for his performances for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, can become the new coach of the Armenian national team. His experience and authority in the football world make him an attractive candidate for the position. However, the final decision has not yet been made, and additional negotiations are to be held.
